A shopkeeper sells a sweater at a loss of 5%. If he had sold it for Rs 260 more, he would have made a profit of 15%. Calculate the cost price of the sweater.

Let the CP of sweater be Rs. x

when it is sold at a 5% loss, the selling price


If it sold at a profit of 15% the selling price


According to the question,


Selling price at profit – selling price at loss = 260






X = 1300


Purchase price = Rs. 1300
