Let the marked price of the machine be x,


Discount always is given by mark price


So,


= 0.125x


SP = MP – discount


In the question selling price is given so,


437.50 = x – 0.125x


0.875x = 437.50



x = 500


The amount printed on the machine is Rs. 500
