A man brought a certain number of oranges out of which 13% were rotten. He gave 75% of the remaining in charity and still has 522 oranges left. Find how many had he brought?

Let’s assume the man has brought 'x' oranges

then,

Rotten orange

therefore,

remaining apple = x – 0.13x = 0.87x

He gave 75% of remaining in the charity so,

= 0.87x × 0.75

= 0.6525x

This is the remaining orange to the left of the person so

In the question remaining orange is 522
