If one zero of the polynomial x2 ‒ 4x + 1 is (2 + √3), write the other zero.

It is given in the question that, zero of the polynomial x2 – 4x + 1 is (2 + )

Let the other zero of the polynomial be a


We know that,


Sum of zeros =


∴ 2 + √3 + a =


a = 2 - √3


Hence, the other zero of the given polynomial is (2 -√3)
