If 1 is a zero of the polynomial ax2 ‒ 3 (a ‒ 1) x ‒ 1 then find the value of a.

It is given in the question that,

One of the zero of the polynomial ax2 – 3 (a – 1) x - 1 is 1


∴ It will satisfy the above polynomial


Now, we have


a (1)2 – (a – 1) 1 – 1 = 0


a – 3a + 3 - 1 = 0


- 2a = - 2


5k = - 6


∴ a = 1
