Q10 of 113 Page 71

Find the quadratic polynomial, the sum of whose zeros is ‒5 and their products is 6.

It is given in the question that,

Sum of the zeros = - 5

And, product of the zeros = 6

∴ Required polynomial = x2 – (Sum of the zeros) x + Product of the zeros

= x2 – (- 5) x + 6

= x2 + 5x + 6
