If ‒2 is a zero of the polynomial 3x2 + 4x + 2k then find the value of k.

It is given in the question that,

One of the zero of the polynomial 3x2 + 4x + 2k is - 2


∴ It will satisfy the above polynomial


Now, we have


3 (- 2)2 + 4 (- 2) + 2k = 0


12 - 8 + 2k = 0


4 + 2k = 0


2k = - 4


∴ k = - 2
