The difference between two positive integers is 50 and the ratio of these integers is 1 : 3. Find these integers.

Given: Ratio of two integers is 1:3

Let the two positive integers be x and 3x


According to the question


3x – x = 50


⇒ 2x = 50


∴ x = 25


3x = 3 × (25) = 75


Thus the required two positive integers are 25 and 75.
