Give reason for the following:

Atrial wall is less muscular than the ventricular wall.

The atrial walls are less muscular than the ventricular walls because atria pumps blood directly into the ventricles while ventricles pump blood to farthest points in the body like up to the toes in the feet or up to the brain. As they have to apply greater force & are hence provided with muscular walls.
