Using identity (x – y)3 = x3 - y3 – 3x2y + 3xy2


Here x = 2a and y = 3b


(2a - 3b)3 = (2a)3 – (3b)3 – 3(2a)2(3b) + 3(2a)(3b)2


= 8a3 – 27b3 – 18a2b + 18ab2


Therefore (2a - 3b)3 = 8a3 – 27b3 – 18a2b + 18ab2
