What led to the outbreak of the French revolution?

There various reasons that led to the outbreak of the French revolution which were:

• France had the Monarchical form of government because of which King has the ultimate power. He imposed various taxes to meet the expenses of the court, army, government colleges and institution.


• The taxes were only paid by the third estate which includes the big businessman, courts, lawyers, etc, peasants and artisan and small peasants, landless labourers and servants, etc.


• The Peasants also had to pay taxes to the Church called Tithes. It included Direct tax called Taille and other Indirect tax which were imposed on the product of consumption like salt and tobacco.


• The wages of the employers was low which widened the gap between rich and poor.
