Who was Napoleon Bonaparte? What reforms did he introduce?

Napolean Bonaparte was a military leader who acquired power during the French Revolution. He led various campaigns and wars. When the French revolution ended, Napoleon Bonaparte became the emperor of France in 1804. He saw himself as a modernizer of France and went on to conquer neighbouring European countries and created kingdoms where he skillfully placed his own family members.

Napoleon introduced following reforms which were:

• Uniform system of weights.

• Measures based on a decimal system.
