How did French become a constitutional monarchy?

In 1791, the constitution was drafted. According to the constitution, the powers of the monarch were made limited. It means that the main focus is to remove the power from the hands of one. For this different institution was created, i.e., Legislature, Executive and Judiciary. Thus, France becomes a Constitutional Monarchy. They had the power to create laws in the National assembly. The members of the national assembly were indirectly elected. Only the people, who were chosen as a part of the group of electors, were allowed to choose the members of the Assembly. The men above 25 years of age had the Right to Vote. This is how France became a constitutional monarchy.
