Solve the following equation:

8m + 9 = 7m + 8

Given equation: 8m + 9 = 7m + 8

⇒ 8m – 7m = 8 – 9 (Transposing 7m to LHS and 9 to RHS)


m = -1


∴ The solution of 8m + 9 = 7m + 8 is m = -1.
