(5 – 3x) (3 + 2x)

Using identity -

(cx + a)(dx + b) = cdx2 + (ad + bc)x + ab, we get –


(5 – 3x) (3 + 2x) = (– 3x + 5)(2x + 3)


= (2× – 3)x2 + (– 3× 3 + 5× 2)x + (3)×5


= – 6x2 + (– 9 + 10)x + 15


= – 6x2 + x + 15
