We know that distance(S) between the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is

⇒ 100 = 64 + (3 + y)2


⇒ (3 + y)2 = 36


⇒ 3 + y = ±6


⇒ y = 3 + 6 (or) y = 3 - 6

∴ The values of y are 9, - 3.
