Q15 of 184 Page 10

Find the value of K for which the points (7, -2), (5, 1), (3, k) are collinear.

Given A(7, -2), B(5, 1) and C(3, k) are collinear

To find: Find the value of K

So, The given points are collinear, if are (∆ABC)=0

= Area of triangle =

Then,

= 7 – 7k +5k+10-9 = 0

= -2k + 8 = 0

Hence, K = 4
