Let the coordinates of the A be (x,y).


Since 2, -3) is the midpoint of the line joining (1, 4) and (x,y)




x + 1 = 4 and y + 4 = -6


x = 4 – 1 and y = -6 – 4


x = 3 and y = -10


Hence, the coordinates of A are (3, -10)
