Find the area of the triangle formed by the points

(5, 2), (3, –5) and (–5, –1)

Let A (–5, –1) B (3, –5) and C (5, 2) be the vertices of triangle.


Area of triangle =


x1 = –5, x2 = 3 and x3 = 5


y1 = –1, y2 = –5 and y3 = 2






= 32 sq. units
