(2x – 5) (2x – 5)

Given (2x – 5) (2x – 5) = (2x – 5)2


We know that


(a– b)2 = a2 + b2 – 2a×b


⇒ (2x – 5) (2x – 5) = ((2x)2 + 52 – 2× 2x×5)


⇒ (2x – 5) (2x – 5) = 4x2 + 25 – 20x
