Write the first three terms of the following sequences defined by:

tn = n(n + 2)

Given: tn = n(n+2)


Taking n = 1, we get


t1 = (1)(1+2) = (1)(3) = 3


Taking n = 2, we get


t2 = (2)(2+2) = (2)(4) = 8


Taking n = 3, we get


t3 = (3)(3+2) = (3)(5) = 15


Hence, the first three terms are 3, 8 and 15.
