Let x be the no. of person and y is amount taken by each person.

On solving both (1) and (2) equation


subtracting (2) from (1)





3250 = x2 + 15x


x2 + 15x – 3250 = 0


On applying Sreedhracharya formula







X = – 65 or X = 50
