9x2 + 12x + 4 = 0

9x2 – 12x + 4 = 0



⇒ a = 9, b = –12 and c = 4


= (–12)2– 4(9)(4)


144 – 144


= 0


∴ b2 – 4ac > 0. hence, roots are real and equal.
