(a): The three stages through which the annuals and biennial angiosperms pass during their life cycle are:

I. Vegetative Phase or Juvenile phase: is the phase of plant growth that occurs after germination and before flowering.

II. Reproductive phase: it is the period when an individual organism reproduces sexually.

III. Senescent phase: it is the period when an organism grows old and lose its ability to reproduce.

Few plants exhibit unusual flowering phenomenon, such as bamboo species flowers bloom only once in their lifetime.

(b): Vegetative Propagules- are the parts of a plant which can be used for vegetative propagation(process of plant reproduction) e.g—roots, stem, leaves etc…..

Root Propagation includes the production of a new plant via roots, e.g- fleshy roots of in case of sweet potato, tapioca and Dahlia.

Vegetative propagation through leaves, many plants have adventitious buds which help in development of new plant, e.g- Begonia, Bryophyllum, etc.
