How does the application of cyanobacteria help improve agriculture output?

Cyanobacteria are prokaryotes that have the ability to fixatmospheric nitrogen with the help of specialised cells called heterocysts. Nostoc and Anabaena are common free- living nitrogen fixers. They have helped to improve agriculture output by:
