The boys lifted the trophy amidst cheers and jubilation from the spectators. It was a magnificent victory for the cricket team of Delhi Public School had won the inter-school Cricket Championship for the first time. The spectators consisted of the students and various staff and teachers from the school had erupted with thunderous applause and the atmosphere was that of euphoria and pure excitement. The player's pride and joy had drawn in the rest of the school who had supported and cheered for their team wholeheartedly down the years. Months of incessant training and practicing under the merciless summer sun had borne fruit as the team had achieved a well-earned victory. The Principal of the school had been in tears when the winning team was announced and was seen shaking hands heartily with the organizers. He also proceeded to congratulate and take group photographs with the cricket team and the coach and announced that the following day would be observed as a holiday to celebrate the victory of the team members and the sheer determination that they had shown to earn their victory and a special ceremony would be held by the school to honour their victory.
