Sketch the emergent wave front.

The emergent wave front for the above question is:



As we know when the light ray passes from the denser medium to the rarer medium it bends towards the normal. Hence the incident ray will bend away from normal and at the hypotenuse of the prism the emergent will bend toward the normal and emerge perpendicular to the face of the prism.
